Our Indian Offshore Development Center (ODC) comprises of a facility and staff dedicated for a client's IT project requirements. The Center ideally consists of a team of trained application specialists and programmers operating out of facilities in India, and another team operating out of the client's office. The ODC team links up to client's offices and machines via dedicated links and thereby works in the same environment as the client's team.

We have a dedicated leased line for all our development facility supported by a backup broadband cable link incase the leased line fails. All the facilities have dedicated dialup terminals in the offices incase of extreme contingency.
The integrated facility at Ideas2IT has development and training laboratories that are endowed with state-of-the-art computing resources. There are more than 200 computers networked on its corporate intranet.
The corporate intranet provides a host of servers including Windows NT, Windows 2000, MS Proxy, MS Exchange, IIS, Linux, Apache, Tomcat, MS SQL, Oracle, Sybase and MySQL.
A variety of development tools and environment are available to the development teams including JDK 1.3, Visual C++, Visual Basic, VID, Developer 2000, Power Builder, Visual SourceSafe, CVS etc.
24 x 7 Voice over IP calling facility is available for cost effective calling to our clients globally for long discussions on projects.
From the front desk to the managing director most of our office team members are available on instant messengers making our team more accessible to our clients than their own team on a separate floor of the same building. Our global offices are connected via PAP (Permanent Availability Protocol) setup which involves having a end to end connectivity between offshore setup and client / our offices with possibilities of voice chat, video conference, sharing a white board, remote installations, access into each others networks, and a powerful CRM system which we use for continuous updation of day to day activities and efforts.
The offshore development facility is staffed with an appropriate mix of experienced and young software professionals with expertise in a variety of platforms including Core Java, Network Programming, EJB, JSP, JavaScript, XML, ASP, COM/DCOM, MTS, Visual Basic, VBScript, CORBA, UML, Developer 2000, C++, Oracle, MS SQL Server etc.
Ideas2IT maintains tight security in its ODC facility through electronically regulated restricted physical access and use of firewalls for network security. Ideas2IT also has a well-articulated Intellectual Property Policy and Non-disclosure agreements. Depending upon the criticality of the area and the services within, different types of physical and access restrictions have been imposed within the development centers so that our clients can be absolutely certain that their data, systems and processes and other confidential information, including IPRs (Intellectual Property Rights) do not get circulated, inadvertently or on purpose.
For certain very sensitive projects undertaken by Gateway, we have implemented even stricter security systems, including isolation of the project area from the rest of the center, secured physical access to the project area and many more.
We have implemented Safeboot Data Security and Access Control software in our facility, which implements 1024 bit encryption to confidential and secured data of our client, which is in production and development servers at our facility. It secured data in removable media as well as on the hard disks. Safeboot also secures information flow through our mails to clients, which is one of the best products in its range.
